5 Best beeswax candles for organic candle lovers

My hand holding a Northern Light tea light candle

Rewind back, several years. I have no thoughts or feelings towards beeswax candles, strange for me because I have quite strong opinions on most things. Apart from maybe (if Im really scratching) id say beeswax candles have that fake honeycomb outside and are sold in tubes maybe with little fake honeycomb bees attached in baskets at hippie markets. (pre markets turning cool) think beach towns, holidays, tie dye clothing and bubble gum icecreams, I digress.

Then i hit my 20s, got some spending power ( read over drafts) and starting buying and admiring fancing soy candles that were quickly becoming large substantial sums of money and quite frankly NEVER strong enough for me unless i was in a cupboard, which is really unsafe with a candle so dont do that.

I started Kiosk, realised like all good retailers i should sell candles and literally fell over Northen light beeswax in my research. And so here we are, a few years in and Im still selling and wholeheartley burning these Australian pure beeswax candles which if you havent tried, just do. Total Klacxon moment,

1 - The above Northern light pure beeswax tea light

This tealight has been burning (metaphorically) since 1995, for nearly the same price as a rubbish supermarket tealight, this pure beeswax will make all the differnce to your dinner service or bath tub, soft hues, delicate honeyed fragrance and if you care for it nicely ( in a tin away from a draft) it will happily burn evenly all the way to the bottom. If i was shopping on Kiosk and i didn't want to pay for postage and i was ambilvalent about beeswax candles thes would be my number 1 way to push that free postage threashold and by golly i would not be sorry.

2, 3 - Northern Light dinner candles (a pair)

Im using this as 2 of my 5 options of best organic candles because they come in a pair and so are worthy of such. Firstly these are a very very great gift to give to someone who is hosting a dinner party, moving into a new house or just has great taste and you need a classic (not everybody knows, knows) gift.

The warm light will enhance your meal and your mood, the soft natural fragrance will not interfere with your culinary ones and quite frankly having a couple of dinner candles centerpiece is posh. But only if they are good ones.

4- Northern Light Pillar candles, The Poet

Lets get down to brass tacks, $20 does not get one far anymore but let me tell you what is the best use of this hard earned money, a Northern Lights beeswax candle ' The Poet' . Even the name is strong. 12cm high with a burn time of 20 hours, this organic pillar candle will stand on its own ( dry surface, no dollies) for evenings or mornings (very scandi) you will admire the strength of its light and subtle whiff of its (un fragranced) fragrance. The work horse of the candles i sell it great bang for your buck.

5- Northern Light Tealight tins

Yes yes I know a tin is not a candle but if you truly are a candle or even better a beeswax candle obsessive then you need to care for them so they burn all the way and dont waste your beeswax or your money and these little tins do just that (and are reusuable). Think of them like a windbreaker at the beach on a very windy day, all the more enjoyable.
