I have always valued travelling, I love the airports, I love the fear you have entering a city you have never been to and trying to figure out how to communicate and where to go, I love trying new foods and feeling awkward looking at a foreign wine list. I love the chats you have with strangers and I mostly love the minute you have to yourself looking up to the sky and counting your blessings that you are so lucky as to be able to visit another part of the world.
Gosh that got a bit sloppy and gratitude journal quickly... anyway now you have my background you can absolutely trust me when I recommend some darn fine products to make your travels better.
Kinto Travel Tumbler
I don't even need to say how this will improve your daily life, travel wise to start your day with icy cold water from the hotel in your bag knowing it won't warm will make any bus or train journey more bearable.
Baggu Cloud carry on bag - black and white pixel gingham
Baggu really have smashed the ball out of the park with this travel bag, the very popular cloud bag but in a more holdall shape with a couple of extra travel ' yes pleases'. A trolley pocket to slide over your suitcase handles, 2 large front pockets (unzipped) to pop your magazine, drink bottle and travel pillow in so that you don't have to keep opening your bag and of course the easily packed pouch that your whole bag will fold into so that you can transport it there and back compact if needed.
Thunders Love socks
Unless you are lucky enough to fly business, we are all in this together in stage. There are very few ways on a long haul you can make this better so my advice is don't. Put on a pair of Thunders love socks (you know how cold those toes get) grab a muji head pillow, watch hours of anything that will distract you, pick at the food, drink lots of water and put all your focus on your destination.
Pico organic cotton underwear
Normal life and travel life really are too short to wear bad knickers. Pico sources sustainable organic breathable knickers, crop tops and vest tops that will start your day well and keep you comfortable running for planes, hiking up hills and sit well under your fancier clothes while dining on the terrace and watching the sun set.
The Incense Match
How many hotel rooms or Air BnBs have we stayed in, where we enter and it smells like an open fridge. Gross. Too many rooms around the world are closed to the fresh air and not cleaned well enough, but do we ruin our holidays or have a quick light of an incense match, a very strong negroni and move onwards.
