Tricolate Brewer, black pearl

Tricolate Brewer, black pearl

While this isnt about me, lets start with me and my coffee story.

Sit back.

I LOVE good coffee and have less than 0 time for a bad cup, at home i make a great cup with the Moccaamaster and im perfectly happy with this, however (and here it gets dark) when we travel or ocassionally camp, its a tough slog.

For many years we used the plastic cone pour over, but you really do need a goose kettle which adds to my luggage. Then we moved to the Aero press, again a nice cup but really only for 1 and given i still have a husband its a bit annoying in the morning to use to prepare 2 cups while keeping the coffee warm and using more hot water than required just to get some quantity.

So this year before we headed off on a 4 week European vacay, i did some research (watched a lot of you tubes) and what got my interest was the Australian Tricolate brewer. I purchased one, double bagged my beans and we were off.

Did it do the job, ah yes it did Bob

Did it produce an easy 2 cups, again yes

and did it taste actually delicious. Now this is the good part, the coffee was exceptional.

Im no barrister but i followed the instructions (easy) and every cup came out consistantly fantastic, i could taste the fruit, the coffee was strong, the process was easy and it was so good ive ordered in for you to try.

Now for the experts:

What makes Tricolate so Different?

Eliminates uneven input whilst brewing

An engineered shower head has been designed to disperse water evenly across the coffee at not only a consistent height but also at a specific flow rate.

Better coverage

A more efficient saturation can be achieved for the bloom part of brewing, wetting all of the coffee grounds in seconds without needing to stir.

The vertical walls result in all of the coffee being in all of the water all of the time.

Laboratory grade filter paper

The German manufactured paper delivers a more consistent pore structure. With a smaller filter size than other devices you get less paper taint in your coffee.

Extract more coffee

The 80mm wide flat brew bed increases surface area and allows for more even water to coffee contact, this results in a higher extraction.

No need for an expensive goose neck kettle

Achieve much higher extraction yields than ever before.

Taste coffee that has greater balance, sweetness and clarity. No more high and dry coffee grounds
